After giving a knotmaking workshop at the DLR Lexicon, I mentioned to a few attendees that I’d post up some resources and links to some great knot compendiums. So here are some suggestions for those curious about knots:

Ashley Book of Knots by Clifford Warren Ashley. This book entered public domain and is available for download. It’s great as a digital file but it’s big. I really enjoy having the physical book as a reference. This is my main reference book when I work with knots in my sculptures and installations.

Knots: The Complete Visual Guide by Des Pawson. Great visual guide for tying knots and for people who are new to knotmaking.
